Williams: NU Confident in Close Games, Weidner Being Evaluated

The Nebraska women’s basketball team hosts No. 14 Michigan tonight.

Nebraska is coming off an epic 85-79 triple overtime win over No. 20 Kansas last Wednesday.  Coach Amy Williams says her players have developed confidence in close games.

“I do feel like the overtime win against Mississippi State down in San Juan really helped us and gave us some confidence in the triple-overtime game against Kansas the other day,” Williams said.

Williams said Allison Weidner’s injury is still being evaluated and the team hopes to know more soon. Weidner suffered an apparent leg injury against Kansas when she crashed into a courtside television camera.

Tonight’s game pitting the Huskers against the Wolverines tips off at 6 p.m.  It will be televised on BTN.
