Wiegert Named to College Football Hall of Fame

Former Nebraska standout offensive lineman Zach Wiegert has been selected for the College Football Hall of Fame. 

The 2022 class announced yesterday includes 18 players and three coaches. 

Wiegert is the only member of the class who played on four conference championship teams. He was a unanimous All-American and won the Outland Trophy after helping lead the Huskers to the 1994 national championship. 

Wiegert is the 20th Nebraska player and seventh offensive lineman to earn induction into the hall of fame. Six NU coaches have also earned the honor.
