White Shares Thoughts on Preparing For CU’s Explosive Offense
Nebraska defensive coordinator Tony White knows Saturday’s opponent, Colorado, is bringing an explosive offense to Lincoln.
Meeting with reporters Tuesday, White said the Huskers are doing a little more seven-on-seven drills in practice this week to get his defensive players in “more space-oriented situations.”
He was asked about the challenge of covering Colorado receiver Travis Hunter. “He’s a special talent,” White said. “He’s the best two-way player, one of the best athletes in the country, there ain’t no way to sugar-coat that….He’s a playmaker no matter where (the Buffaloes) put him. It’ll be a challenge to the (Huskers) defense and we’ve got to make sure we’re ready to go.”
Saturday’s kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. The pregame starts at 2:30 p.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK. It will be joined at 6 p.m. on 93.5 The Hawk.
