Whipple Sees Progress From NU’s Running Backs
Nebraska’s offensive coordinator Mark Whipple was asked following yesterday’s spring practice what makes an effective red zone offense that will score touchdowns instead of settling for field goals.
He said you have to be able to run the football. And Whipple said the Huskers’ running backs have gotten better throughout the spring. “We’re a little more physical,” Whipple said. “All of them are running a little bit lower and a little bit more balanced and playing for the extra yard.”
Nebraska’s next spring practice is slated for next Monday.
