Whipple: Huskers Offense Needs to Finish

Nebraska offensive coordinator Mark Whipple said yesterday that after watching game film of the Huskers’ season-opening loss to Northwestern he “was more encouraged than discouraged.”

But, Whipple added the bottom line this week is finishing the game better.  “I told the guys, three quarters, 440 yards, averaged eight yards, four touchdowns, and one turnover that was shaky,” Whipple said. “Then the fourth quarter we did not finish.”

Nebraska’s home opener is this Saturday against North Dakota.  Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. at Memorial Stadium. The pregame starts at 10:30 a.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK.  It will be joined at 2 p.m. on 93.5 The Hawk.
