Weidner Just Misses Double-Double as Huskers Rout Omaha

The Nebraska women’s basketball club rolled to its largest season-opening victory margin in history with a 100-36 romp over Omaha. 

Sophomore Allison Weidner scored 19 points and pulled down a career-high nine rebounds.  The guard from Humphrey hit 9-of-11 shots from the field. 

Isabelle Bourne led the Huskers with 21 points and also had nine boards.  Alexis Markowski produced 13 points and eight rebounds. 

NU is back at Pinnacle Bank Arena Friday night, when the Huskers welcome Houston Christian.
