Weber’s Saves Key in Scotus Girls Soccer Team’s Win

The Scotus girls soccer club survived a test at Elkhorn North Thursday, winning 1-0 in a shootout. 

The Shamrocks won the shootout 5-4.  Scotus goalie Faith Weber made 36 saves in regulation and six more in the shootout. The Shamrocks finished the regular season at 11-2. 

Meanwhile, the Scotus boys wrapped up the regular season at home with a 3-2 victory over Elkhorn North.  The Shamrocks improved to 11-3.  The Lakeview boys ended the regular season 1-10 after a 1-0 home loss to Madison.

In tomorrow’s boys subdistrict tournament at Schuyler, Scotus will face Lakeview.  In the girls subdistrict tourney at Wilderness Park, Lakeview meets South Sioux City tomorrow and the winner faces Scotus on Monday.
