Volleyball: Vikings and Shamrocks Both Win Tuesday

The Vikings volleyball team christened Lakeview High’s new gym with a season-opening 3-0 win over Schuyler last night.
The Lady Vikes downed the Warriors 25-6, 25-8, 25-16. Maddi Vogt was a force at the net for Lakeview, pounding down a match-high 15 kills. Both teams will be on the road tomorrow, with 1-0 Lakeview going to Seward and Schuyler (0-3) visiting Cornerstone Christian.
Meanwhile, Scotus defeated visiting Omaha Concordia 3-1. The Shamrocks won 25-14, 20-25, 25-15, 25-23. The Rocks have won four in a row and are 4-1 heading into Saturday’s Scotus Invitational.
