Volleyball Captains Picked, Wong-Orantes To Be Honored

Nebraska volleyball’s team captains were announced yesterday. They are seniors Nicklin Hames and Lauren Stivrins and junior Kenzie Knuckles.
It was also announced that NU will honor Olympic gold medalist Justine Wong-Orantes on Saturday during the final match of the Husker Invitational. Wong-Oranges joined fellow ex-Huskers Jordan Larson and Kelsey Robinson on Team USA this summer at the Tokyo Games and helped the Americans claim their first gold medal.
Nebraska volleyball opens its season Friday with an 11 a.m. match against Tulsa. The Huskers’ second match Friday against Colgate will be broadcast on News Talk 900 KJSK. First serve is at 6:30 p.m. with coverage starting at 6 p.m.
