Vikings Volleyball, Led By Six Seniors, Opens at Schuyler

The Lakeview volleyball team opens its season tonight, when the Vikings visit Schuyler.  The Warriors are 0-2 after suffering three-set sweeps last week against Wisner-Pilger and at Nebraska City. 

With COVID-19 affecting preparations for the season, Lakeview coach K.C. Belitz said the players “have handled it as well as you could have asked any group to handle it.”  He adds the Vikings are “blessed” to have six seniors back.  Belitz said they’re all good leaders in different ways. 

Those seniors are Sydnie Briggs, Reese Janseen, Cassie Rathbone, Carli Schneider, Maggie Vetick and Amber Vis.
