Vikings Softball Team Rallies to Edge Tigers

Lakeview’s softball club rallied for a wild, 13-12 home win over North Bend Central on Tuesday. 

Each team scored four runs in the first inning to set the tone.  The Vikings trailed 12-9 going to the bottom of the sixth, before scoring three runs to even the score.  Lakeview scored the winning run in the seventh. 

Hannah Allen had two hits, including a triple, four RBI and two runs for Lakeview.  Allen also pitched a complete game and while she allowed 12 runs, only five of those were earned as the Vikings won despite committing 11 errors. 

Lakeview, now 8-11, is set to play in the Central Conference tournament tomorrow in Lexington.
