Vikings Get Good Pitching to Win Subdistrict Tourney

Top-seeded Lakeview softball won the B-7 subdistrict tournament Monday at Lakeview.
n the first game, the Vikings beat York 8-3. Lakeview leadoff batter Molly Frenzen went 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and three runs. Cali Bentz pitched a seven-inning complete game, allowing three runs – two earned – on six hits with two walks and nine strikeouts.
In the subdistrict title game, Lakeview’s Hannah Allen pitched a shutout in a 2-0 victory over Aurora. Allen scattered seven hits, walking two and fanning five.
The Vikings will take a 21-7 record into districts.
