Lakeview’s bid to upset top-seeded Clarkson/Leigh in a boys subdistrict semifinal came up just short as the Patriots escaped with a 45-43 home win.
A tip-in at the final buzzer allowed Clarkson/Leigh to advance to tomorrow’s C1-6 subdistrict final with an 18-5 record. The Vikings battled back from a 27-15 halftime deficit to tie the score at 29-all at the end of three quarters. But the loss ended Lakeview’s season at 8-16.
In the other semifinal, Logan View-Scribner-Snyder got by North Bend Central 61-56. Thursday’s final will tip off at 7 p.m. on KLIR 101.
