Two U.S. Volleyball Teams With Huskers Post Wins Wednesday

The U.S. Women’s U21 team dominated Suriname 3-0 yesterday to move to 2-0 at the Continental Championship in Toronto. 

Nebraska’s Andi Jackson had five kills on six attacks in the first two sets. 

Meanwhile, the U.S. team competing at the Pan American Cup Final Six in Santo Domingo earned a hard-won sweep of Mexico in their first match.  The first two sets were won by the U.S. 33-31 and 27-25, before a 25-15 win in the third set. 

Husker setter Merritt Beason scored one point as a substitute.
