Two Pick-6’s Help Lakeview Football Prevail Thursday

Lakeview’s defense came up with two pick-6’s to help the Vikings defeat Mount Michael Benedictine 24-14 in Elkhorn last night.

The first one came one minute into the game when safety Clayton Thomson recorded his third interception of the season and the second one he returned for a score.  With just under two minutes left in the first quarter, Thomson tossed his sixth touchdown pass of the year, finding Blake Rathbone from 41 yards out.

Rathbone also had an impact on the other side of the football, as his 39-yard interception return for a touchdown put the Vikings up 24-7 with 2:30 left in the third quarter.

Lakeview will take a 4-0 record into its Homecoming game and district opener against Schuyler next Friday.
