Two Incoming Freshman Wrestlers Named All-Americans

Two incoming Nebraska freshman wrestlers have earned All-America honors.  The Amateur Wrestling News magazine named Dominick Serrano a Second Team All-American, while Silas Allred earned Third Team honors. 

Serrano, who’s from Windsor, Colorado, finished his prep career with four state titles and a perfect 168-0 record.  He projects as a 133-pounder for the Huskers. 

Allred is from Muncie, Indiana where he compiled a 146-2 mark for his high school team and won two state titles.  Allred projects as a 197-pounder for NU.

Serrano and Allred were among 42 AWN All-Americans who were chosen from a pool of more than 250,000 grapplers.
