Tuesday’s Recap of Prep Basketball Tournaments
The Scotus girls basketball team has advanced to the Centennial Conference tournament semifinals. The Shamrocks beat Archbishop Bergan 48-32 in Fremont last night. Scotus will meet Lincoln Lutheran in the semifinals at GICC tomorrow at 7:45 p.m. The game will be broadcast on KZ-100. If the Shamrocks win, the Centennial Conference tourney girls final will air on KLIR 101 Saturday. It will have a 4 p.m. tipoff.
The Lakeview girls fell at home to Aurora 33-29 in the quarterfinals of the Central Conference basketball tourney. The Vikings will play Holdrege in a consolation game Saturday at 12:45 p.m. in Seward.
In the CRC boys basketball tournament on Tuesday, Shelby-Rising City was downed by Nebraska Lutheran 49-44 in the quarterfinals. And in girls action, Osceola was knocked off by Exeter-Milligan 39-29. In tomorrow’s CRC boys semifinals on 93.5 The Hawk, Osceola meets Nebraska Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. , while Cross County faces BDS at 7:30. The girls semifinals pit Cross County against BDS at 3 p.m. on The Hawk and Meridian against Exeter-Milligan at 6 p.m., which will not be aired.
