Tuesday’s Local Prep Basketball Scores

On the hardwoods last night, Columbus High split its home basketball games against North Platte. 

The Discoverers boys were downed by the Bulldogs 57-46, dropping CHS to 2-4.  The Columbus girls won 33-20, evening their record at 3-3. 

At Lakeview, the Vikings boys claimed their first win of the season by knocking off Clarkson/Leigh 58-50.  In the fourth quarter, Blake Rathbone hit two big 3’s and Will Hrouda made seven of nine free throw attempts.  Lakeview is 1-6, while the Patriots are 4-3.  Clarkson/Leigh won the girls’ contest 33-27.  The Patriots improved to 6-2, while the Lady Vikes slipped to 5-2. 

Scotus celebrated two home victories.  In the boys game, the Shamrocks topped Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family 47-35.  Scotus upped its record to 4-2, while the Bulldogs are 5-1.  The Shamrocks girls won their fifth straight and are 5-2 after a 73-37 romp, which dropped H/LHF to 3-5.
