In high school soccer last night, the Scotus boys stretched their winning streak to five matches with a 2-1 home win over Hastings. The Shamrocks are now 10-3.
The Scotus girls extended their win string to eleven by routing the Tigers 8-0. That upped the Shamrocks’ record to 12-2.
Lakeview’s boys snapped a three-match losing skid with a 3-0 victory at Seward. The Vikings are 2-10.
Columbus High’s boys fell at Kearney 2-0 in overtime. With the loss, the Discoverers are 10-4. The CHS girls will visit Lincoln Northeast tonight.
The Class A district pairings have been set. On Saturday, the Columbus boys will host Omaha Burke while the girls will entertain Omaha Central.
