The Fullerton and St. Paul boys’ basketball teams are headed to next week’s state tournament, while Shelby-Rising City, East Butler and North Bend Central lost in district finals last night.

In C1, St. Paul booked its first trip to Lincoln since 1997 with a 45-44 upset win over number-4 seed North Bend Central.  The Wildcats are 19-7 and the Tigers finished 23-3.

In D1, Fullerton punched its ticket to state for the third straight year. The Warriors are 19-5 after getting by West Holt 63-60.

Shelby-Rising City fell to Yutan 60-39 in a C2 district final. The Huskies wound up 18-7.

And East Butler closed at 14-9 after a 69-51 loss to D1 top seed North Platte St. Pat’s.
