Tuesday’s Area Boys Subdistrict Semifinals Recap
Top-seeded Cross County will face Heartland in the boys C2-8 subdistrict final. In last night’s semifinals, the Cougars downed Aquinas 58-45 while the Huskies edged Nebraska Christian 57-53. Thursday’s final starts at 7 p.m. on KZ-100.
In the D1-3 subdistrict at Cedar Rapids, number-1 seed Riverside will take on High Plains Community for the title. In last night’s semifinals, the Chargers defeated East Butler 74-48 before High Plains Community needed double-overtime to shade Shelby-Rising City 60-56. In other area boys subdistrict semifinal action, Schuyler fell to Bennington 82-42, Boone Central was downed by Pierce 55-48, Central City beat Ord 71-43, Howells-Dodge doubled up Tri County Northeast 82-41, Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family topped Elkhorn Valley 69-45, Osceola drubbed Nebraska Lutheran 60-36, Humphrey St. Francis was downed by Parkview Christian 60-49, Fullerton routed Elba 77-28 and St. Edward bowed to Spalding Academy 59-45.
