Trey Palmer Named to Paul Hornung Award Watch List

Nebraska wide receiver Trey Palmer was named to the Paul Hornung Award watch list today.  The award is given each year to the most versatile player in major college football. 

Palmer is in his first season with the Huskers after spending the last three years at LSU.  Last season, he hauled in 30 passes for 344 yards and three touchdowns, adding 257 more yards in punt and kickoff returns. 

In 2020, Palmer averaged 34.4 yards per kickoff return, highlighted by a 93-yard touchdown against South Carolina.  He also played as a true freshman on LSU’s 2019 National Championship team.
