Trey McGowens Leaving Huskers to Pursue Pro Hoops

Nebraska guard Trey McGowens has announced that he’ll turn professional rather than use his final season of college eligibility.

McGowens played for the Huskers the past two seasons.  He averaged 9.2 points and 4.0 rebounds per game.

Coach Fred Hoiberg said McGowens’ toughness in coming back from a broken foot that cost him 15 games last season strengthened Nebraska down the stretch.  He also called him “one of the best defenders in our league last year.”
