Top-25 Women’s Matchup One-Sided as CU Crushes NU

The 20th-ranked Creighton women’s basketball team never trailed in a 77-51 romp over No. 22 Nebraska last night in Omaha. 

Molly Mogensen scored 19 of her career-high 22 points in the first half as the Bluejays took a 45-28 lead.  In the first matchup of top-25 teams in the 48-game history of the series, CU posted its largest victory margin over the Huskers since 1993.  Creighton improved to 3-0 while becoming the nation’s first team with two top-25 wins this season. 

Jaz Shelley led Nebraska with 14 points, while Alexis Markowski had 12 points and 11 rebounds. 

The 2-1 Huskers visit Drake on Saturday, while the Jays play at Northern Iowa on Sunday.
