Tominaga Named to Japan’s Olympic Basketball Squad

Keisei Tominaga has been named to Japan’s 12-member men’s basketball team for the Paris Olympics.

Tominaga became the second former Husker selected to an Olympics team on Monday, a day after Jack McVeigh made Australia’s national team. Tominaga, who recently signed a contract with the Indiana Pacers, will participate in his second Olympic games.  He was a member of Japan’s 3-on-3 team in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Tominaga spent the past three seasons at Nebraska, scoring over 1,000 points to rank 30th on NU’s career scoring list.  He finished seventh in career 3-pointers, with 178.  He was a two-time All-Big Ten honoree.
