Tight End Gilbert Transfers to Nebraska

Tight end Arik Gilbert has transferred to Nebraska from Georgia.
A five-star high school prospect in the 2020 recruiting class, he began his college career at LSU. Gilbert had 35 receptions for 368 yards and two touchdowns for the Tigers and earned Freshman All-SEC honors in 2020.
Following that season, he transferred to Georgia. Gilbert did not play at all in the 2021 season and played in just three games for the Bulldogs last season, reportedly missing at least some of that time due to personal issues.
He has three seasons of eligibility remaining.
