Tight End Allen Leads NU Offensive Players in Honors

Nebraska tight end Austin Allen headlined a group of four Husker offensive players who earned Big Ten accolades today.

Allen was named the conference’s Tight End of the Year.  After a record-setting season for NU tight ends, Allen was a first-team all-conference choice by the Big Ten media panel and was a second-team pick by Big Ten coaches.

Center Cam Jurgens was a third-team all-league choice by coaches and earned honorable mention from the media.  Two other Huskers received honorable mention: quarterback Adrian Martinez from Big Ten coaches and receiver Samori Toure from the media.
