Two Columbus High girls won gold medals at yesterday’s track and field meet in Norfolk.
Paighton Erb won the high jump, while Elizabeth Wemhoff was first in the 100 meter dash.
Lakeview and Scotus competed at the Fred Arnold Invitational in Schuyler. In the girls meet, the Vikings Blake Barcel won the 200 meter dash and the high jump. Molly Frenzen of Lakeview took first in the 100 meter hurdles and the triple jump.
In boys action, the Vikings Landon Ternus won gold medals in the shot put and discus. Owen Lindhorst of Scotus won the 400 meter dash, while his Shamrocks teammate Jude Maguire won the 1600 meter run. The Scotus boys swept all three relays.
