Three Individuals, One Team to Enter CCC Hall of Fame

The Central Community College Hall of Fame will add three individuals and one team next year.  Jack Gutierrez, Lindsay Larson and Riley Callan Smith join the 1999-2000 CCC men’s basketball team in the 2023 Hall of Fame class. 

Gutierrez coached men’s basketball, golf and softball and served as athletic director.  He led the Raiders men’s basketball team to five national tournament appearances. 

Larson was a standout outfielder on the CCC softball team in 2013 and 2014.  An outside hitter for the Central volleyball club in 2008 and 2009, Smith was CCC’s first two-time All-American.  In 2000, the men’s basketball team, under the direction of Gutierrez, finished fourth at the NJCAA Division II National Tournament. 

Induction ceremonies will be held Saturday, February 23rd at the Columbus Innovation Center, 1365 24th Ave, at 6:30 p.m.  Tickets are $20 apiece.
