Three Former Huskers, Team USA One Win Away From Gold
Three former Nebraska volleyball standouts are heading with their teammates to the gold medal match in the Paris Olympics.
Former Husker libero Justine Wong-Orantes had 10 digs Thursday as the U.S. national volleyball team posted a thrilling 3-2 victory over Brazil. In a rematch of the Tokyo Olympics final, the Americans beat the world’s top-ranked team 25-23, 18-25, 25-15, 23-25, 15-11.
Former Huskers Jordan Larson and Kelsey Robinson Cook are also on the U.S. squad.
Team USA will face Italy for the gold medal Sunday at 6 a.m. Central Time on NBC and Peacock.
