Three Former Huskers Help U.S. Women’s Volleyball Beat France
The U.S. volleyball team clinched a berth in the Olympics quarterfinals with a victory over host France on Sunday.
The U.S. won 29-27, 29-27, 25-20 before a boisterous French crowd. The three former Huskers on the American squad all contributed. Libero Justine Wong-Orantes had a double-double with 11 successful receptions and 10 digs. Kelsey Robinson-Cook had eight successful receptions, two kills and a block. And Jordan Larson added three receptions, two digs and a block.
The U.S. and Poland, which are both 2-1, square off in the quarterfinals on Tuesday.
