The Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family boys and Humphrey St. Francis and North Bend Central girls are all headed to championship games in state basketball.

In yesterday’s semifinals, the number-3 seed Bulldogs – the highest seed left in the boys C2 tournament – got by seventh-seeded Norfolk Catholic 42-40.  H/LHF, which won a D1 state title last year, will meet defending C2 champ GICC in tomorrow’s 4 p.m. title tilt on 93.5 The Hawk.

In the girls D2 championship contest, it will be a rematch of last year’s final between St. Francis and Falls City Sacred Heart.  The defending champion Flyers gutted out a 40-37 victory over St. Mary’s last night to reach the final for the fourth time in the past five years.  Friday’s 8 p.m. championship will be broadcast on KLIR 101.

And North Bend will look to win its third straight C1 title against Lincoln Lutheran in tomorrow’s 11 a.m. final on The Hawk.  The Tigers downed GICC’s girls 44-32 in the semifinals.
