Nebraska’s interim football coach Mickey Joseph told reporters that quarterback Casey Thompson practiced yesterday.
Joseph said Thompson “made some throws” but is still day-to-day with an arm injury. He also said backup quarterback Chubba Purdy is out with a high ankle sprain and will need surgery.
Joseph praised freshman linebacker Ernest Hausmann, saying the Columbus High graduate is “playing at a high level and getting better every week.”
