Thompson Points to Some Positives in Loss to Northwestern

Nebraska quarterback Casey Thompson said yesterday the Huskers’ offense did a good job of moving the football for three quarters in Saturday’s loss to Northwestern.

Despite not being able to score and committing two costly turnovers in the fourth quarter, Thompson pointed out some positives.  “We went 75 plays with no penalties,” Thompson said.   “I think we had like one sack, well two technically because I tripped.”  Thompson admitted NU “needs to establish a little bit better run game to be able to control the clock.”

Nebraska’s home opener is this Saturday against North Dakota.  Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. at Memorial Stadium. The pregame starts at 10:30 a.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK.  It will be joined at 2 p.m. on 93.5 The Hawk.
