Columbus High graduate Landon Thompson will play for the North Team in this Saturday’s Shrine Bowl in Kearney. 

The KLIR Prep Club Awards winner in 2020 is listed on the North roster at wide receiver and linebacker.  As a senior last fall, Thompson had 29 receptions for 572 yards and three touchdowns.  He also made 22 tackles for the Discoverers, including two for losses. 

Thompson is joined on the North squad by David City High running back/linebacker Clayton Denker and Fullerton tight end/linebacker Isaac Gleason. 

Denker compiled over 1,500 total yards and 19 touchdowns for the Scouts, while posting 78 tackles.  Gleason had 40 catches for 640 yards and was a key member of the Warriors’ defense with 58 tackles, 11 for loss, five sacks, three interceptions and two recovered fumbles.
