Sutherland Named Nebraska Women’s Golf Coach
Jeanne Sutherland has been named to lead the Nebraska women’s golf program. The former SMU and Texas A&M coach was the Huskers associate head coach this season.
In 25 seasons with the Mustangs and Aggies, Suthlerand’s teams made the NCAA regionals 18 years, with four advancing to the NCAA championship.
Sutherland takes over the top job from Lisa Johnson, who led the program for three seasons. Johnson left Lincoln after her husband, John Johnson, was hired as Portland State’s athletic director.
