Supernovas’ de la Cruz to Play for D.R. in Final Six Volleyball Tourney

Omaha Supernovas outside hitter Bethania de la Cruz will compete for the Dominican Republic in the Women’s Final Six volleyball tournament.

The tourney will be played in de la Cruz’s hometown of Santo Domingo today through Sunday.  The event is part of the qualification process for the 2025 Women’s Pan American Cup and next year’s Women’s Continental Championship.

The Dominican Republic team is looking to win this week’s tournament for the third time in its four years of existence.

De La Cruz helped lead the Supernovas to the inaugural Pro Volleyball Federation championship.  She was the league’s Server of the Year after leading the circuit with 35 aces.  The two-time Olympian also averaged 3.23 kills and 2.70 digs per set in 26 matches for Omaha.
