Sunday Hoops: Weidner Stars For NU, CU Clubs Win

In college hoops on Sunday, freshman Allison Weidner of Humphrey scored a career-high 23 points to power Nebraska’s women over Minnesota 93-70.  The victory at Pinnacle Bank Arena improved the Huskers to 20-7 overall and 9-7 in the Big Ten. 

The Creighton men edged Marquette 83-82 in Omaha.  The Bluejays won their fifth straight to improve to 18-8, 10-5 in the Big East. 

The CU women needed double-overtime to win at Seton Hall 97-91.  The win lifted the Jays to 20-7, including a 15-4 conference mark.
