Stepp on His Foot: It’s Getting Better
Transfer players Markese Stepp and Samori Toure are both coming off big days in Nebraska’s 52-7 win over Fordham last Saturday. Stepp led the Huskers’ ground game with 101 yards on 18 carries, while Toure had eight receptions for 133 yards and three carries for 35 yards and a touchdown.
Stepp said that having Toure as a roommate made the transition to NU easier. Stepp had a foot injury when he arrived in Lincoln, but he said it’s getting better. “Losing weight during camp obviously helps take pressure off that foot,” Stepp said. “I feel like I’m still not where I want to be health-wise, but every day I’m working to get there.”
The Huskers welcome Buffalo to Memorial Stadium this Saturday. It’s a 2:30 p.m. kickoff. Pregame coverage starts at 10:30 a.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK and will be joined at 2 p.m. on 93.5 The Hawk.
