State Health Officials Outline Plan For COVID Vaccine

LINCOLN- On Monday Governor Pete Ricketts along with state health officials outlined Nebraska’s plan to administer coronavirus vaccinations once a vaccine becomes available. Ling said officials have broken phase 1 into 2 parts anticipating different levels of vaccine availability…

Ling said as supplies increase, so will the amount of people being able to receive the vaccine and more health care providers will be able to order and administer the products. Governor Ricketts says officials are not expecting to see a vaccine distributed till later in 2020 or early in 2021.

Officials say the state submitted it’s plan to the CDC earlier this month and are still waiting on approval.
