The Boone Central girls cross country team won Friday’s Class C state championship in Kearney, while the Scotus girls finished third.  The Cardinals’ Jordan Soto-Stopak won the race, while the Shamrocks’ Olivia Fehringer placed sixth.

In the boys’ meet, Scotus finished ninth in the team standings, while the Shamrocks’ Michael Gasper earned 16th. 

In the Class A boys’ run, Joe McFarland of Columbus High finished 39th.

And Payton Davis of Aquinas won the Class D boys’ run, helping the Monarchs take second.
