St. Francis Sweeps GRC Hoops Tourney Titles

Both Humphrey St. Francis basketball squads beat Fullerton to win Goldenrod Conference tournament titles on Saturday night in St. Paul. 

In the girls’ championship, NU commit Allison Weidner scored a game-high 27 points, leading the Flyers to a 63-37 victory. It marked the third straight year that St. Francis won the tourney crown. 

In the nightcap, Justin Leifeld tallied 21 of his game-high 24 points in the first half as the Flyers downed the Warriors 72-30. St. Francis remained unbeaten at 14-0.
