Humphrey St. Francis will face BDS in tomorrow’s state volleyball Class D2 championship. 

The Flyers downed top-seeded Lawrence-Nelson in five sets in today’s semifinals at Pinnacle Bank Arena.  St. Francis won 25-19, 12-25, 25-12, 21-25, 15-13, hiking the Flyers’ record to 24-4.

In the other D2 semifinal, BDS also needed five sets to defeat Wynot.  The Eagles won 20-25, 25-11, 14-25, 30-28, 15-2.

BDS is 29-4 entering tomorrow’s 9 a.m. championship at the Devaney Sports Center, which will be broadcast on KZ-100. 

St. Paul lost its first set of the season, but rallied to win the next three sets over Broken Bow in the C1 semifinals this afternoon. The Wildcats remained unbeaten at 35-0 and advanced to tomorrow’s championship against Wahoo or Lincoln Lutheran.  It will be aired on 93.5 The Hawk.  First serve is set for 3 p.m.
