Solich to be Honored Saturday by Nebraska, College Hall of Fame
Nebraska and The National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame will jointly honor former Huskers player and coach Frank Solich on Saturday.
The salute, announced yesterday, will take place during Nebraska’s home football game against Colorado. Solich is part of the 2024 class. He’ll receive a Hall of Fame plaque Saturday that will stay on permanent display at NU.
Solich, who retired in 2021, had an overall record of 173-101 for a winning percentage of better than 63 percent during his 22 years as a head coach. He had a 58-19 mark guiding the Big Red. He’ll become the seventh coach from Nebraska to enter the Hall of Fame when he’s officially inducted December 10th in Las Vegas.
Saturday’s kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. The pregame starts at 2:30 p.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK. It will be joined at 6 p.m. on 93.5 The Hawk.
