Softball Wins District Opener, Then Ousted

Columbus High’s softball team entered yesterday’s A-3 district tournament with a 3-27 record. 

But, the Discoverers whipped Omaha Bryan 12-0 in the first round, before suffering a 5-2 loss to top-seeded Omaha Marian on its home diamond. 

CHS was ousted from the tourney last night in a 9-6 loss to Omaha Burke.

The Discoverers finished the season at 4-29.
