Softball Weekend Recap: NU, CU and CCC

In softball this weekend, Nebraska dropped three of four games at Iowa, including both ends of a doubleheader on Sunday.  The Huskers fell to 21-19. 

Creighton canceled its three-game series against Butler because of COVID protocols.  The Bluejays will be unable to participate in the upcoming Big East tournament and end their season at 14-14, 8-7 in the conference. 

CCC lost in the Region IX championship series at Raider softball field.  Central beat North Platte CC 9-1 in Saturday’s opener, but dropped the second game 6-2.  The Knights won yesterday’s deciding game 7-2 to advance to districts.  The Raiders wound up 13-22.
