Softball: CHS Goes 2-0, Lakeview 1-2 on Weekend

Columbus High’s softball team cruised to a pair of wins Saturday against two new high schools in Omaha. 

The Discoverers downed host team Westview 13-1 and blanked Buena Vista 14-0 to open the season 2-0. 

Meanwhile, Lakeview went 1-2 at the Freeman Invitational in Lincoln.  The Vikings were edged by Seward 3-2, then fell to Freeman 8-1, but bounced back to beat NEN 4-2.  Lakeview is 2-2 on the season.
