Soccer Season Gets Underway; Shamrock Invite Results

The boys and girls soccer teams from Columbus High and Scotus all went 1-1, Lakeview’s squads were 0-2, and Gretna’s clubs went 2-0 to win this weekend’s Shamrock Invite at Wilderness Park.

The Discoverers boys dropped a 3-1 decision to the Dragons, but rebounded to rout the Vikings 10-0.  CHS plays Thursday at Norfolk. 

The CHS girls were blanked by Gretna 8-0 before shutting out Lakeview 6-0.  The Discoverers girls visit Grand Island tonight. 

Scotus’ boys beat Lakeview 4-0, but fell to Gretna 7-0.  The Shamrocks girls edged the Vikings 2-0, but bowed to the Dragons 10-0. 

Lakeview will meet Scotus again tomorrow night at Wilderness Park.
