In prep soccer, Scotus will meet Lakeview at CCC today to make up a pair of matches that were postponed by bad weather on March 22nd. The girls’ match is slated for 4 p.m. with the boys’ action to start around 5:30.
The Shamrocks girls are coming off a 1-0 win at Blair last night that upped their record to 3-2. The Lady Vikes posted a 1-0 win at Aurora Thursday and have won two straight after an 0-4 start. The Scotus boys edged the Bears 4-3 in overtime to even the Shamrocks’ record at 2-2. The Lakeview boys also went into OT last night, but fell to the Huskies 2-0, dropping the Vikings’ record to 0-6.
Also Thursday, the Columbus High boys suffered their first loss after opening the season by winning four in a row. The Discoverers were shaded by Lincoln Southwest 1-0 at Wilderness Park. Both CHS soccer teams visit Lincoln Southeast today.
