Smith Leads Charge as Huskers Finish Tenth in Tucson

Nebraska golfers Kate Smith and Michaela Vavrova tied for 21st and helped the Huskers tie for tenth in a 16-team field at the Arizona Wildcat Invitational. 

NU jumped four spots in the team standings by carding a 3-over par final round yesterday. 

Smith, a fifth-year senior led the charge by firing a 3-under 69 on Tuesday.  She, along with her freshman teammate from Slovakia, finished the 54-hole tourney at 3-over 219.
